Spring into Jazz with CESJ Fundraiser a Huge Success!

The Center for Empowerment and Social Justice, Inc. is pleased to announce that our Spring into Jazz with CESJ fundraiser was a resounding success! The fundraiser took place on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 from 5:30 – 9:30 P.M., at 27 Mix, 27 Halsey Street, Newark, New Jersey.  The event featured a VIP reception where Brenda Blackmon, the exceptional My 9 WWOR-TV anchor, signed her new book A Mom’s Story.  Guests enjoyed great music by a live Jazz band and a DJ as well as had the unique opportunity to engage in exclusive networking with some of New Jerseys’ prominent political, non-profit, civil and professional leaders.

The success of this exclusive event would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors who are listed in the sidebar, our Host Committee Members: Chairperson, Mayor Wayne Smith, Cheryl Jenkins, Everett M. Johnson, Genia C. Philip, Ramon E. Rivera, Steeve J. Augustin, Tahirah Cooper, Tara Dowdell and Zachary Lewis, Brenda Blackmon and all guests and financial supporters.

Please take a moment to vist the Events and News page to view all of the pictures from the event.
